I'm a technical artist. Professionally, my goal is to create games that people enjoy - things that are fun, engrossing, entertaining and, ideally, beneficial.

My education was first in engineering, and I still identify with that field. I like applying engineering techniques to the creation of art; this, to me, is one of the most interesting and rewarding aspects of game creation. These days, I'm interested not only in how we create games but also in what those games mean to our audience and to our society at large. I think it's important to think about the effect of the games we build as well as the tools we use to build them.

Outside of games:
